Earth's Apothecary: Recent Works by Jordan Oakey

A lifelong gardener and native of South Abington Township, PA, Jordan Oakey completed studio arts courses and received his undergraduate degree from the 草榴社区 in 2020. He then pursued graduate studies in fine art, producing work focused on ecology and herbalism. This exhibition —presented for MFA candidacy at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA— reflects Oakey's admiration for the natural world, his appreciation for the mysterious aspects of nature and humanity, and his understanding of how humans' lives follow seasons in ways not dissimilar to the tides of nature.
