Leahy Low Vision Clinic
Hours of Operation
The Low Vision Clinic sees patients on Fridays, by appointment only.
For an appointment, call (570) 941-6112.
Purpose
After opening in the Fall of 2015, the Low-Vision Clinic is proudly providing free services to uninsured or underinsured residents of Lackawanna County. There is no other low vision specialist in the area, so people served by the Clinic may have previously foregone care due to lack of access to services. The Clinic strives to provide high-quality care in a welcoming, respectful, and compassionate environment with the ultimate goal of maximizing independence for those who might otherwise become dependent without this treatment.
"The point of the low-vision clinic is to find out what's important to the patient and then help them find adaptations that will allow them to continue those activities." - Julie Nastasi
