Access The Online Course Schedule To Plan Your Schedule
The course schedule for upcoming semesters and terms is available online through the Registrar’s web page at . Click on Course Search by Term in the left-hand column. This will pull up the search form.
Course Schedule Search is available to the public. However, University students should note that during web registration, the “Course Lookup” function and “Add or Drop Classes” worksheet are available through their UIS accounts.
Course Schedule Search is easy to use – simply select a term to search and click the Next button. You can then narrow your search criteria by selecting various options, such as campus, level, subject, from the drop-down boxes and clicking the Search button. While Course Schedule Search is intuitive to use, below are some useful ways to search for course sections and print what you need. (Helpful hint: when you return the results of a search, simultaneously depressing the Ctrl and End keys on your keyboard will take you to the bottom of the page while Ctrl and Home will take you to the top of the page.)
How to search for courses:
- Narrow your search by selecting from the Term drop-down box.
- Narrow your search by selecting from the Campus drop-down box.
- Students in undergraduate and graduate campus-based programs should select the Main Campus option.
- Students in graduate online programs should select the Deltak Online Programs option.
- You can narrow the search to undergraduate or graduate courses in the Level box, or by choosing any of the other items on the search form such as course number (#), part-of-term, instructor or meeting times.
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results of your search.
- If desired, print out your search results by following the instructions below.
- To return to the front screen to initiate another search, click on New Search at the top of the screen.
How to search for Online Graduate courses:
- Narrow your search by selecting from the Term drop-down box.
- Narrow your search by selecting from the Campus drop-down box
- Students in graduate campus-based programs should select the Main Campus option.
- Students in graduate online programs offered through Engage (Wiley) should select the Deltak Online Programs option.
- Use may also narrow your search by level and part-of-term.
How to search for course sections in 1 subject area:
- Using the arrows to scroll up and down in the Subject drop-down box, click on the desired subject description (e.g., Accounting) to highlight it.
- If you want, you can narrow the search to undergraduate or graduate courses in the Level box, or by choosing any of the active items on the search form such as course number, instructor or meeting times.
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results of your search.
- If desired, print out your search results by following the instructions below.
- To return to the front screen to initiate another search, click on New Search at the top of the screen.
How to search for course section in more than 1 subject area at the same time:
- Click on your first desired subject area in the Subject box.
- Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and click on as many additional subject areas that you want to highlight them.
- If you want, you can narrow the search to undergraduate or graduate courses in the Level box, or by choosing any of active items on the search form such as course number, instructor or meeting times.
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results of your search.
- If desired, print out your results by following the instructions above.
- Click on New Search again to return to the front screen and initiate another search.
How to search for and display the entire course schedule for the term:
- If you want, you can limit this search by checking undergraduate or graduate in the Level box. Otherwise, leave the defaults at “All.”
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results. (Give it a minute to load.)
- If desired, print out your results by following the instructions above.
- Click on New Search again to return to the front screen and initiate another search.
How to search for course sections that meet General Education (GE) requirements:
- In the Attributes box, scroll through the drop-down box and click on the desired general education category to highlight it.
- If you want more than 1 GE category, depress the Ctrl key and click on all categories that you desire.
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results of your search. The general education category displays on the right-hand side of the course section information.
- If desired, print out your results by following the instructions above.
- Click on New Search again to return to the front screen and initiate another search.
How to search for course sections for these special programs:
- Honors Program
- Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Program (SJLA)
- Business Leadership Program
- KSOM Business Honors Program
- MAGIS Program in STEM
- Asian Studies Concentration
- Catholic Studies Program
- Environmental Studies Concentration
- Forensic Health Concentration
- Human Development Program
- Italian Studies Concentration
- Judaic Studies Concentration
- Latin American Studies Concentration

- In the Attributes box, scroll through the drop-down box and click on the desired program highlight it.
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results of your search.

- Click on New Search again to return to the front screen and initiate another search.
How to search for web course sections:
- In the Attributes box, scroll through the drop-down box and click on Web Course Section to highlight it.
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results of your search.
- If desired, print out your results by following the instructions above.
- Click on New Search again to return to the front screen and initiate another search.
How to search for Service Learning course sections:
- In the Attributes box, scroll through the drop-down box and click on Service Learning to highlight it.
- Click on Search at the bottom of the screen to return the results of your search.
- If desired, print out your results by following the instructions above.
